Science of Synthesis

In my current position on the Science of Synthesis team, I oversee our editorial boards and further develop our authors’ network. I also seek new strategic partnerships and business opportunities for Thieme’s Chemistry Databases portfolio. I gained my chemistry background through my PhD at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and a postdoc at the University of Sheffield (UK).

As senior executive editor, I work on the content of Science of Synthesis and Pharmaceutical Substances and coordinate the freelance team. I also take care of the author contracts and honorarium. I studied chemistry in the UK at Kingston University and the University of St. Andrews where I received an MSc in biological and medicinal chemistry and a PhD in organic synthesis.

I handle copyediting and proofreading for SOS updates and reference library projects, making corrections to electronic files at the proof stages and checking the corrections on the revised proofs. My background includes a BSc and MSc. from the University of Delhi and a PhD in chemistry from IICT-CSIR, Hyderabad.

My focus is on working with our international network of authors and editors to plan and coordinate the content for Science of Synthesis, and guide contributions through the editorial process to publication. I hold a PhD in chemistry from the University of Leicester (UK) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Milan, Italy.

I am the responsible Product Manager for Science of Synthesis and Thieme’s other Chemistry Databases. My goal is to make sure that the great content provided by our authors and editors is available to our users in the way that you need it. I studied chemistry at the University of Birmingham, UK, receiving a PhD in organic synthesis.

My current responsibilities as a freelance editor for SOS include copyediting and proofreading. I live in Hong Kong and represent Thieme at conferences and roadshows, particularly in East Asia. I hold an MA in Chemistry from Oxford University and completed my PhD at Cambridge University. I then carried out postdoctoral research at École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, and at the University of Vienna, Austria

In my role as a Data and Product Engineer I focus on analyzing, streamlining, and delivering data to our cooperation partners in the right format and within agreed timelines. I hold a business degree from the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld and an MSc in Econometrics from Maastricht University. I also completed a nanodegree in Data Analysis and Data Science from Udacity.

I manage the interface between editorial and production, coordinate our cooperation partners, handle document templates and FTP requests. My responsibilities include website development and electronic manuscript production. I hold a degree in publishing studies from Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart.
